Status Update
Road safety and road traffic offences
• We’ve completed several speed enforcement patrols in areas that were highlighted by the community as being areas of concern, issuing warning letters where most appropriate and fixed penalty to others for speeding offences.
• We’ve seized four vehicles in this period due to motoring offences such as no insurance or no MOT.
• We’ve made four arrests relating to road safety offences such a drink/drug driving and disqualified drivers.
• We’ve issued a total of six fixed penalty notices for road safety offence such as speeding and driving standards and reported four drivers for summons for offences. Working alongside partners, we’ve continued numerous parking patrols outside local schools issuing tickets to offending vehicles where appropriate.
Drug dealing and drug misuse
• We’ve made four arrests relating to drug offences with many resulting from community intelligence.
• We’ve had six charges and nine out-of-court resolutions for drug related offences.
• We’ve carried out regular checks at the addresses of those identified as being vulnerable to being exploited by drug dealers (cuckooing).
• We‘ve conducted numerous drug warrants following intelligence being received from the local community. This includes the dismantling of cannabis factories located within the town.
Burglary
• We continue to support with burglary investigations and visiting the area of every domestic burglary, support vulnerable victims, working with other agencies to give security advice and patrolled the areas around burglary locations to prevent further offences.
• We have also completed regular community engagement events across the town and rural wards.

• Officers completed several speed enforcement patrols across various locations highlighted by the community as being of particular concern, issuing warning letter to drivers and fixed penalty notice to drivers as appropriate.
• The team seized 13 vehicles in relation to motoring offences, including having no insurance or MOT, and seven people were arrested in connection with offences including drink driving and driving while disqualified.
• During the six-month period, officers have issued 18 fixed penalty notices relating to road safety offences such as speeding and driving standards, and a further 13 drivers have been reported for summons.
• Working alongside our council and education partners across the area, we’ve also continued patrols outside local schools in response to parking issues.

• During the six-month period, officers made 13 arrests relating to drug offences, with many resulting from community intelligence.
• Investigations have resulted in 19 charges, 13 summons to court, and 31 out-of-court-resolutions for drug related offences.
• The team carried out regular checks at the addresses of those identified as being vulnerable to exploitation by drug dealers (known as cuckooing), and numerous drug warrants have been conducted following information received from the local community.

Status Update
• We continue to support burglary investigations by attending every domestic burglary scene, supporting vulnerable victims, working with partner agencies to provide security advice, and patrolling affected areas to prevent further offences.
• We have also held regular community engagement events across the town and rural wards. These provide an opportunity for residents to meet their local officers, share any concerns they may have about their local area and get crime prevention advice.
